At 11:00 am on 12 June 2018, 10 students from Higher Diploma in Sport and Recreation Management and Higher Diploma in Sport Coaching and Sport Performance have successfully reached the top of Mt Haba (5396m) in Yunnan, China.
It was a 13-day expedition study tour that aimed to develop our students’ strengths and characters through hardship and challenges. It was a journey that words can hardly describe what they have experienced. For many of them, it was their first time to be on a high altitude mountain. There were weather like bittering cold and soaking wet then there were compassion and perseverance, and there were disagreement and conflicts among the group then there were forgiveness and encouragement. In fact, everyone has taken away an important lesson in life of their choices. Sure this magical journey can act as a catalyst to give our students a real boost in future development.
