Software Engineer I/II (Ref# IT/ft/24-04)

 

Major Responsibilities

Appointee will be overseeing application project and/or conceptual web design and development by effective liaison with external and internal parties. Main duties include users' requirements study, analysis and design, code development, concept development, interface and multi-media design, interactive element development, system integration, testing, system delivery and maintenance.

 

Requirements

Candidates should have/be: 

- Higher Diploma qualification or above in IT, Computer Studies or related discipline;

- at least 3 years relevant IT experience in web/systems/software development;

- extensive knowledge of PHP, SQL Statement, JavaScript and HTML;

- extensive knowledge of the open source CMS customization e.g. WordPress;

- good knowledge to setup web application on Linux Server platform;

- knowledge of .NET framework is an advantage; and

- good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese.

 

Candidates with more experience may be considered for the post of Software Engineer I.

 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, medical benefits, and staff development sponsorship. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term contract for up to two years. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
