2012Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science and Health Education), The Chinese University of Hong Kong
The two years at the College is the most enjoyable and fruitful experience I have ever had! The programme in Nutrition and Food Management has provided me broad-based knowledge as well as in-depth understandings in topics related to heath and science, which serves as a good foundation for my university study. Apart from classroom learning, the College also arranged visits to food premises such as LSG Sky Chef and Lee Kum Kee factory, where I could apply the theories learned in lectures to real life. I also had a lot of fun joining various school activities such as O-Camp, Singing Contest and High Table Dinner in HKU.
2012Two degree offers received: - BSocSc (Hons) in Global Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong - BSc in Information Management, The University of Hong Kong
I really cherish every moment at the College. The programme not only provided me with comprehensive knowledge and technical skills in the real estate profession, but also helped me to build up my confidence. The learning mode at the College is different from that in secondary school. Instead of being spoon-fed, we learn through discussions, role-play and site-visits, which make learning more lively and interesting. I also began to realise my academic and career goals. I believe that I can adapt to the university life quickly after two years of preparation at the College. Lastly, I am so glad that I have made a lot of friends here, who have given me a lot of encouragement.

This programme, along with my greatest efforts finally made my dreams come true – I was admitted to a local university even though I failed in the public examination. Having studied the Higher Diploma for Legal Executives for two years, I would absolutely recommend students pick this programme. From those compulsory generic subjects, to core law subjects all of them have been very practically orientated. These course arrangements has allowed me to learn a wide range of different laws, but has also expose me to the practical use of law in the real world. To reiterate, I really enjoyed studying this programme and I do think that legal knowledge can benefit our whole lives, as law exists everywhere.

Following my A-levels, I studied the Higher Diploma in Medical and Health Products Management programme at the College. This programme equipped me with the knowledge in biological science such as Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology which helped me perform well in university. I would like to say a big thank you to the lecturers at the College as they are willing to answer our questions and assist us a lot which greatly improved our attitude towards learning. Apart from this, the subjects are very practical. During Year 2, my knowledge of pharmaceuticals, as well as my dispensing skills greatly developed, I feel this is very important towards my future career and even in my daily life. Following my time studying at the College, I am now glad that I can get into the university through Non-JUPAS and study the subjects that I have interest in.

During my two years studying at the College, I gained valuable experience. It was full of remarkable memories including practical placements, co-operation with classmates, assistance from teachers and interesting activities etc. The programme covered the relevant information we required for our further studies as well as future careers, thus enabling us to understand more about the Sport and Recreation industry. Aside from academic learning, the college also provided lots of services to develop our abilities and relieve stress.

"It was a life-changing past two years, throughout which, in addition to academic pursuits, I’ve set myself many new goals, advanced my way of thinking and shaped my personal attributes. I think it’s what studying is all about – to shape us into becoming more well-rounded individuals.
I learnt a lot at the College during my time here. Let’s say I’ve learnt to cherish, I’ve enhanced my interpersonal competencies, I’ve strengthened my linguistic ability, I’ve become more receptive and I have new perspectives towards everything."

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid” - Albert Einstein
Hong Kong Public examination is asking everyone to climb a tree but that is not the only way to prove your own ability. Everyone has his/her own abilities and is a particular “genius”.
At HPSHCC, it offers various types of courses for different geniuses. You can find your own passion and develop it into your profession.
For me, I have passion about knowledge on the use of medicine when studying the Higher Diploma programme in Medical and Health Products Management (MHPM). It provides me a great course structure with supportive lecturers. I am proud of myself for finding my own passion and having chosen to be a pharmacist after I graduated in MHPH. I am grateful for the teachers from MHPM who helped me to find my career path.
Without HPSHCC, maybe I would still be a stupid fish which keeps trying to climb a tree.

“Like everyone else I wanted to go to the university, but it was a huge disappointment two years ago when I learned that my A-level results did not live up to the expectation. However, it is never too late to give yourself a second chance, and I am offering you a path now to the universities, and for those who can demonstrate the determination and are willing to work hard on their aspirations -- studying at the College.
Lecturers not only provide us with knowledge from the textbook but also they are all professional who like to share their personal experiences with us. They make studying more interesting here and certainly it allows me to get the hang of those conceptual theories. Let’s not forget the 5-star environment it offers as it helps motivate all the students to work harder. These are the qualities that only the College can offer, and I am sure that this is the right place for you to start a new page here.

2011BEng in Chemical and Environment Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
“Although it has only been a year at the College, what I gained is so invaluable throughout my life. To be frank, at the outset I saw the College as a shelter when my application to university turned me off. I was completely wrong as the College did offer me a hope as well as a second chance to further my studies in university.
I enjoyed my school life very much as I made lots of friends here who came from all walks of life. I learnt a good deal of things from lecturers too who all had strong enthusiasm on teaching. Besides, the College has been offering students with different summer internship programmes so that they can put learning into practice. I am fortunate to fulfill my dream as a chemical engineer and further my tertiary studies in HKUST now.”
