Senior Quality Assurance Manager (Ref: QA/ft/26-01)

 

Major Duties

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager will lead the College's Quality Assurance (QA) team and play a key role in the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the College's academic QA framework.

 

Key responsibilities include:

- oversee the College's academic QA function, ensuring that policies, systems, and processes remain effective, current, and compliant with regulatory and accreditation requirements;

- plan, manage, and coordinate external review exercises, including institutional reviews, Programme Area Accreditation, programme accreditation, and professional recognition activities involving relevant quality assurance and professional bodies;

- lead the preparation and submission of statutory, regulatory, and quality assurance reports required by the Education Bureau, HKCAAVQ, and other relevant bodies, and provide management reports and analyses to support institutional planning and decision-making;

- coordinate QA activities across the College, ensuring that programme delivery, assessment, and student support services meet institutional standards and quality expectations;

- identify gaps in the College's evidence base and work collaboratively with various units and stakeholders to develop and implement quality enhancement initiatives; and

- conduct training sessions and workshops to strengthen QA awareness and foster a culture of quality across the College.

 

Requirements

Candidates should have/be:

- a recognized degree, preferably in Education, Higher Education Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline;

- at least 8 years of post-qualification experience in higher education, quality assurance, academic administration or a related field with several years in a managerial or leadership role;

- thorough knowledge of the higher education regulatory framework in Hong Kong, including the requirements of the Education Bureau and HKCAAVQ for Cap 320 institutes;

- demonstrated experience in preparing accreditation submissions, self-evaluation reports, regulatory returns, and management reports for institutional planning and decision-making;

- excellent project management, organizational and problem solving skills, with strong AI literacy and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives and meet tight deadlines; and

- strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, with experience in leading teams and driving cross-functional collaboration among multiple stakeholders.

 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, medical benefits, and staff development sponsorship. Appointment will be on a fixed-term contract for up to two years. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
