The 5-week General English for Academic Purposes + Australian Cultural Activities programme for HPSHCC students at Adelaide University proved to be an exceptionally rewarding and enjoyable experience. Running from 9 June to 10 July 2026, the tour combined rigorous academic English training with authentic Australian cultural immersion, leaving participants delighted by how much they gained both linguistically and personally.

The tour began with a comprehensive Welcome & Orientation, followed by a well-structured weekly timetable of English Core Classes (Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing Workshops) plus a Specialisation Class every Friday. Sessions ran in flexible morning or afternoon blocks, allowing focused skill development in an immersive English-speaking environment.

What made the programme particularly enjoyable was the seamless blend of classroom learning with real-life cultural activities. Highlights included exploring Adelaide’s vibrant café culture, a visit to Cleland Wildlife Park, a Study Tour/ Homestay Meeting, and a memorable Farewell Dinner. Weekends spent with host families further deepened the immersion, giving students daily opportunities to practise English naturally while experiencing genuine Australian hospitality and lifestyle.

Participants repeatedly expressed how much they loved the programme. The combination of structured academic workshops and authentic cultural encounters created a lively, supportive atmosphere in which English learning felt engaging rather than purely formal. Many described the experience as both educationally transformative and personally enriching — exactly the kind of immersive study tour that leaves lasting positive memories.
