Students from the Higher Diploma in Sport and Recreation Management and Higher Diploma in Sport Coaching and Sport Performance programmes took part in the 12th World Games in Chengdu from 11 to 17 August. They had the chance to watch athletes from around the world compete in Fistball, Canoe Polo, Aerobic Gymnastics, and Ultimate Frisbee—sports that were new to many of them. The students also enjoyed a visit to Chengdu Sport University, where they explored the campus and saw firsthand the facilities that support the training of Sichuan’s top athletes. But what stood out the most was the chance to connect with athletes from around the world, capturing meaningful moments with them beyond the competition stage.
