Students from the Higher Diploma in Accounting and Higher Diploma in Business Management programmes joined a 19-day UK Business Study Tour from 19 June to 7 July 2025. At the University of Hull, they participated in an academic programme embracing the distinctive Authentic Business Learning approach, immersing themselves in UK campus life. They engaged in interactive workshops on Entrepreneurship, Logistics, AI, and Business Presentation, delivered by university faculty. The group also toured local businesses in Hull, such as Jacksons of Yorkshire and G.F. Smith, exploring their production processes and operations through factory visits and collaborative projects involving presentations.
In London, they visited a diverse range of organisations, including Lexington Communications, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, and the International Maritime Organization. Through interactive activities, they gained insights into the operations, culture, and management practices of foreign companies and received valuable career advice from industry professionals. Additionally, students ventured on cultural excursions to Manchester, Windsor, Oxford, and York, discovering the rich heritage of these cities.
Through a blend of classroom and real-world experiences, this tour equipped students with industry-specific knowledge, broadened their global perspectives, and enhanced their communication and teamwork skills, preparing them for future academic and professional success.
