Out of my expectation, these 2 years at the College was a prosperous journey. Medical and Health Products Management programme integrated apprehensive medical knowledge into the syllabus, which nurture students with practical skills to face future challenge. Lecturers and counsellors always encouraged me when I had difficulties. I would like to give my deepest gratitude to everyone who cheered me up and motivated me. Although I have spent 2 years more on my study journey than an ordinary university student, the reward was beyond my imagination.

The two-year programme is really meaningful for me as I determined to develop my career in the field of nursing. During my study, the programme had arranged out-of-classroom activities such as visiting a laboratory at HKU and an elderly nursing home. The experience helped me to understand more about the medical fields. Although my study path is not a direct one, I did have a fruitful experience. I am really thankful to the lecturers because they not only taught me about the knowledge but also gave me support and encouragement.

I did not do very well in the HKDSE exam. At that time, I felt disappointed and lost about my future. Looking back, I really appreciated what I have learned and gained at this College. The programme equipped me with knowledge of pharmacology, physiology and anatomy, which helped me to adapt to the university curriculum especially the health-related courses. Also, lecturers play an essential role in this programme. I am thankful that they were willing to teach us patiently and share with us on further study and career pathways. I wouldn’t have such an achievement without the support of lecturers and my fellow schoolmates. I wish all students a fruitful and enjoyable experience at HPSHCC.

Being a student of the Higher Diploma programme of Medical and Healthcare Products Management, I was exposed to a wide range of professional topics. Therefore, multidisciplinary and practical studies are the characteristics of this programme. Through various modes of learning, we can apply what we have learned in the daily lessons. In addition, laboratory and pharmaceutical industry visits, as well as the summer internship deepened my understanding on medical knowledge. They really broadened my horizons and I got the opportunities to put into practice. I wanted to thank the College lecturers as I had benefited much from their inspiration and encouragement.

HPSHCC provided students with different internship and overseas exchange opportunities. Students can apply the knowledge they learned in class and broaden their horizons. Last summer, we went to China Medical University Hospital for a two-week internship. We received practical training in the Testing Department and Pharmacy Department, which helped me understand the operations of the hospital. I really felt grateful that the college provided us such a valuable opportunity which made my study life fruitful and colourful.

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid” - Albert Einstein
Hong Kong Public examination is asking everyone to climb a tree but that is not the only way to prove your own ability. Everyone has his/her own abilities and is a particular “genius”.
At HPSHCC, it offers various types of courses for different geniuses. You can find your own passion and develop it into your profession.
For me, I have passion about knowledge on the use of medicine when studying the Higher Diploma programme in Medical and Health Products Management (MHPM). It provides me a great course structure with supportive lecturers. I am proud of myself for finding my own passion and having chosen to be a pharmacist after I graduated in MHPH. I am grateful for the teachers from MHPM who helped me to find my career path.
Without HPSHCC, maybe I would still be a stupid fish which keeps trying to climb a tree.

In these two years, I have met many friends who have similar dreams as mine. We worked hard and studied hard together to achieve our goals. All the lecturers in this Higher Diploma programme are very kind and always willing to help when I faced difficulties. Besides, this programme also provided both local and overseas internship opportunities to us. The two-week training programme at Tajen University was a treasurable experience for me.

I am interested in nursing and would like to further my study in the related fields. This HD programme taught us medical knowledge such as pharmaceutics, microbiology, anatomy and physiology which is very useful. I also had the opportunity to visit Tai Po Hospital and to have a better understanding of the healthcare system in Hong Kong. With the help of lecturers, I have more confidence in myself and am ready to embark on new endeavours in the university.
