College Life

In the summer of 2025, our College embarked on an exciting study tour to the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada. This 4-week programme, facilitated by UBC’s esteemed English Language Institute (ELI), offered students a transformative experience focused on advancing their English language abilities and nurturing a deeper understanding of global citizenship.

Students honed their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through a rich blend of activities that highlighted Canadian and global viewpoints on vital issues such as civil society, sustainability, and community engagement. Interactive discussions and practical exercises explored topics like media, society, and environmental challenges, empowering students to grow more confident in group collaboration and public speaking.

The programme featured a variety of teaching styles, creating an adaptable and inspiring learning atmosphere suited to every participant. With around 27 hours of weekly English instruction, students practiced their language skills in an authentic, multicultural context. Beyond the classroom, the ELI arranged engaging outings, including museum trips and tours of Vancouver’s bustling downtown, enriching the overall experience.

Set on UBC’s renowned campus, this study tour immersed our students in Canadian culture while offering a front-row seat to Vancouver’s vibrant energy—a perfect blend of education and exploration.
