Participating in medical conferences has always been a good learning experience for students. In November 2017, a number of Year 1 & Year 2 students of the Higher Diploma Programme in Medical and Health Products Management gained an opportunity to join one such conference and to serve as student helpers. It was called "Echo Hong Kong", a locally held international cardiac conference organized by a group of cardiologists in Hong Kong. The first two days were held at Ruttonjee Hospital and the last two days were at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Students were assigned to do registration of participants, took attendance and assisted in the stage setup. They were also able to attend some of the lectures although the contents could be a bit advance for them. They nonetheless enhanced their knowledge about how the cardiologists applied the modern technology to diagnose heart diseases.
