Students of Higher Diploma Programme in Medical and Health Products Management were on a 14-day attachment programme to Tajen University in Taiwan from 14 to 27 July 2018. They visited the Department of Pharmacy in Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital and a nursing home under Ping Tung Branch of Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital. Heads of Departments presented to our students their medicine electronic management system and healthy aging in Taiwan. Students also visited Joben Biomedical and Timing Pharmaceutical Companies. The operation managers introduced to the students of the Chinese herbal extraction techniques, quality assurance and control. Students were given lectures and laboratory practices on pharmacy skills and chemical analysis in Tajen University.
In sum, students had learned about dispensary skills and basic nursing practices including neonatal care, muscular injection, creative art therapy and admission assessment etc. These valuable experiences inspired students on their studies and career planning.
