A seminar on "Plants That Bite Back - A Gruesome Way to Survive?" was held at HPSHCC on 19 October 2017. We are honoured to have Professor Amanda Bamford as the speaker, who is currently the Professor of Plant Sciences, University of Manchester, UK. The seminar explained how different types of carnivorous plants trap insects. The seminar covered the convergent evolution of carnivorous plants across the world and the variety of mechanism used by these interesting plants to obtain their nutrients from animals.
