Students from the Higher Diploma in Accounting and Higher Diploma in Business Management programmes participated in the UK Business Study Tour from 18 July to 5 August 2026, gaining valuable academic, professional, and cultural experiences. During their time at Leeds Beckett University, students attended interactive workshops focusing on sustainability, marketing, branding, human resource management, entrepreneurship, and networking. Through collaborative projects, they applied business concepts to develop innovative and sustainable business ideas while strengthening their creativity, communication, and teamwork skills.
A key feature of the programme was the opportunity to work alongside students from different countries, enabling participants to develop intercultural communication skills, broaden their global perspectives, and build confidence in collaborating within diverse teams. Many students reflected on the personal growth they experienced through stepping outside their comfort zones and adapting to new environments.
The tour also included visits to historic cities such as Skipton, Whitby, York, and London, providing students a deeper appreciation of British history and culture. Business visits to organisations including Medasil, the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and the London School of Economics (LSE) offered valuable insights into global industries and career opportunities.
Through a blend of academic learning, industry engagement, and cultural exploration, the tour broadened students' horizons, enhanced their professional and personal skills, and inspired them to become more confident, globally minded learners.
