I enrolled on this programme at HPSHCC mainly because of its high articulation rate. The lecturers were professional and they provided advice on further study that helped me overcome hard times. I also took a 6-month placement at a local 5-star hotel. The experience enhanced my knowledge in hospitality and I could progress to a related bachelor’s degree programme at PolyU.

The HD is very comprehensive, covering a wide range of hotel industry knowledge, which laid a good foundation for my further studies and future career. In addition, the six months hotel internship helped me to learn guest service skills and cultivate a positive attitude to deal with work-related difficulties. Teachers were enthusiastic in teaching and willing to share their work experience in the hotels which was very useful to us. Finally, I was very grateful to teachers and counselors for their support and encouragement.

My 2 years of study at HPSHCC was the best part of my life. I chose to study here as I know that the hotel management program is all-rounded. It allows me to learn more about the hotel industry. The lecturers are knowledgeable towards hotel industry. They love sharing their experience and encourage students to explore more. Moreover, with a half-year internship for every students, I can apply the theories learnt in the workplace. This internship allows me to explore more about the hotel industry and makes me determinate to set hotel as my career.

The college lecturers provide us with abundent support and information during the study. Today, I am very grateful that I made a wise decision two years ago. In these two years, I have been consistently impressed with our lecturers’ rich industrial experience as well as their unconditional support and care to every student. Beyond doubt, a 6-month internship was truly a precious experience. My internship as a sales and marketing trainee at The Peninsula Hong Kong, one of the most leading and reputable hotels in the world, not only provided me with a learning opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills learnt from class, but also learned the skills of official website maintenance, online travel agent update and social media monitoring. All these golden learning opportunities help me to test and break through my limits. Having worked closely with teammates and many online travel agents within the industry enhanced my job knowledge and built a strong foundation of my future career development.
