College Life

In the past two years my study at the College has filled my life with colors.  Apart from making friends with classmates and lecturers, the campus is also conveniently located and offers the best environment for us to study.

Studying at the College is a totally different experience compared with the traditional mode of learning.  I missed the time here where I had gained great knowledge and wisdom from books as well as from the lecturers.  The past two years had been crucial to my life as I came to realise my future aspiration and the path I wanted to pursue.

Currently, I am studying an undergraduate programme in International Hospitality Management offered locally by HKU SPACE Centre for International Degree Programmes (CIDP) in collaboration with the University of Surrey (UK).  Upon receipt of the Bachelor’s degreee, I want to pursue a career in the hotel industry and contribute to the society in the future.

「學院的酒店管理培訓中心讓我有機會在模擬的酒店環境中學習，當獲派到半島酒店實習時，較容易適應和掌握工作竅門。實習時到了半島酒店當行政總廚的秘書，有機會認識餐飲、宴會服務和餐單設計等。我喜歡接觸不同人，希望畢業後從事酒店前台和宴會服務工作，帶給客人開心歡樂。」

中七畢業後，由於未獲大學取錄，Angela在偶然的機會下，看到書院首年開辦的酒店管理高級文憑課程簡介，由於她自小對酒店工作深感興趣，於是決定報讀這個課程。「入讀後，我發覺課程內容比想像中更有趣，教學模式亦跟中學截然不同，講師的教學方法著重與同學的互動，他們除了擁有豐富的專業知識外，在業界也有相當的經驗，令我能夠更加了解業內的實際運作。這種較為生動的教學模式，大大提高我的學習興趣。」
