Briefing Session for the 2014 Summer Work Experience Programme in ActiveCare Group cum Academic Seminar "Medication Management for the Elderly"

In order to enable the students to learn more about the importance of medical dispensing services for the elderly in Hong Kong and to enhance their drug dispensing skills while learning MHPM, MHPM programme, in collaboration with the ActiveCare Group will organize a work experience programme for the Year 1 students in the summer of 2014. On 9 April, 2014, we are honored to have the Chief Pharmacist of ActiveCare Group, Mr. Peter Suen to introduce the details of the work experience programme to our students. Mr. Suen also gave an academic seminar on "Medication Management for the Elderly" to the students. At the seminar, Mr. Suen expected that the number of people aged 65 or above will rise sharply in the next few years so that there is an urgent need to provide quality medical dispensing services to the residents of elderly homes. He also elaborated on his management strategy of a first and only medication management centre to the audience.
