On-site learning is an efficient and effective way of learning, especially for subjects related to medical and health. For this reason, Higher Diploma in Medical and Health Products Management programme has arranged a visit to the Physiotherapy Department of Tang Shiu Kin Hospital located on Queen’s Road East of Wanchai on 14 April, 2014 PM. 23 Year 1 students participated in this learning module. The Department Manager, Mr. Michael Chung and the Senior Physiotherapist, Ms. Annie Au, gave the students a warm welcome and briefly introduced the hospital and the department to the students. They were then given the chance to tour around the department and take a look at the various facilities and equipment of the department. Mr. Chung also let our students use the Body Composition Analyzing Machine to measure their health status and the students had an enjoyable time playing with the machine. Undoubtedly, this was an eye-opening visit for the students through which they gained a better understanding of what physiotherapy is about and how physiotherapy helps patients to recover from their injuries.
