At 11:00 am on 12 June 2018, 10 students from Higher Diploma programme in Sport and Recreation Management and Higher Diploma programme in Sport Coaching and Sport Performance reached the top of Mt. Haba (5396m) in Yunnan, China safely.
The expedition was a 13-day study tour aimed to develop our students’ strengths and characters through hardship and challenges. It was a journey that words can hardly describe what they have experienced. For many of them, it was their first time to be on a high altitude mountain. They experienced extreme weather like bittering cold and soaking wet; compassion and perseverance; there were disagreement and conflicts among the group; and also forgiveness and encouragement. Everyone has received a life lesson of their own. Surely, this magical journey was a catalyst to give our students a real boost in their personal development.
