Year 2 students of the Higher Diploma in Nutrition and Food Management programme have organized a food donation activity from Feb 27 2014 to Mar 5 2014. They had designed a series of posters, leaflets, booklets and Facebook fan-page to promote food donation as a way to help people in need to students and staff in the College. They had set up booths to collect food at school campus and donate to Feeding Hong Kong, a food bank. This group of students also distributed the leaflets in Causeway Bay district to promote and welcome food donation from the public. The activity was smooth and successful; boxes of food had been collected and donated to the needy. This is a precious opportunity for students to hold a food donation activity. Students have gained a valuable experience in organizing the whole function from planning, promotion to implementation.
