Year 2 students of the Higher Diploma in Nutrition and Food Management programme have organised a food donation activity from 23 Feb 2015 to 28 Feb 2015. They had organised a workshop, designed a series of posters, leaflets, booklets and Facebook fan-page to promote food donation as a way to reduce food wastage to students and staff in the College. They had set up booths to collect food at College campus and donate to Feeding Hong Kong, a food bank. The activity was smooth and successful; boxes of food had been collected and donated to the needy. This is a precious opportunity for students to hold a food donation activity. Students have gained a valuable experience in organising the whole function from planning, promotion to implementation.
