With nearly 190 entries from 20 institutions, 4 groups with 15 students from the Higher Diploma in Business (Accounting) programme obtained outstanding achievements in the Accounting and Business Management Case Competition 2010-2011 organised by Hong Kong Institution of Accredited Accounting Technicians (HKIAAT).
This year, Convenience Retail Asia Limited (CRA) was the selected company for case study. Refer to the CRA's financial report, participating teams were required to submit a written report recommending on strategies to sustain CRA's business growth for the next 3 years. Based on these written reports, the best 6 teams had been shortlisted to enter the final round of the Competition -- the oral presentation, in which students had 15 minutes to present the key points of their proposal and demonstrate their analytical and problem solving skills.
