Being a student of HPSHCC for 3 years has been a blissful and memorable experience in terms of education and life on campus. The College has provided me with opportunities to enhance my knowledge of the programme through site visits and practical experiences, as well as employing qualified lecturers that have expertise in the field and provided insights from the sports industry in Hong Kong. Furthermore, being a student volunteer in V-Circle formed by the Student Development Resource Centre (SDRC) helped me broaden my horizons as well as develop skills such as communication and planning that can be of help in my future career. I am satisfied of what HPSHCC offers as a tertiary institution as they provide support to students in different areas including inclusivity towards students from different backgrounds.

During these two years studying at HPSHCC, I reaped abundant knowledge and skills from the Higher Diploma in Sport and Recreation Management programme. The course has provided me with professional management knowledge, which has greatly solidified the spectrum of sports recreation knowledge and further prepared my future career. Moreover, the variety of courses and materials also captivated and intrigued me greatly. It can broaden students’ horizons in the sports recreation area, like sports marketing and human resource management.
Finally, I sincerely appreciate all the college lecturers for their endeavours and dedication. Without their patience and guidance, I might not have achieved satisfactory results.

I enjoyed my time studying in the College. The lecturers were very helpful and kind and schoolmates were friendly as well. I find studying in the College cozy. Without overwhelming us with too many assignments and academic work, the College served as a stepping stone for my university entry. If I were to provide a piece of advice to my fellow schoolmates, don’t forget to try your best in the first year of studying in the College as the academic result of the first year matters the most. Another advice would be enjoying and making the most of your time in the College.

The reason why I chose this programme was simply because I love sports. The programme covers knowledge on how to design, implement and supervise sports and recreational activities, which are very useful for our future career. Lecturers adopt lively teaching styles, like role plays; we were dedicated to role-playing and came up with many new ideas.
