College Life

The College provided an English-enriched learning opportunity for students during the summer of 2023 by organizing a study tour at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC Canada. The participants studied a 4-week English language program that puts language learning and practice in the context of global citizenship with approximately 27 hours of instruction per week.

The main objectives of the study tour are to learn about civil society, global citizenship, and sustainability in both a Canadian and a global context, enhance students’ skills and confidence in English communication: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, engage students in discussing essential themes related to global citizenship like society, media and the environment. The program develops students’ confidence in working in groups and one-on-one oral presentation with enjoyment of class variety and flexibility in learning.
