Year 2 students of the Higher Diploma in Nutrition and Food Management programme organised a food donation activity in November 2017. They designed a series of posters and Facebook Fanpage to promote food donation to students and staff in the College. Students delivered the collected food to Feeding Hong Kong, a food bank. Staff of Feeding Hong Kong guided our students to walk around their office and gave them a lot of information about the logistic of running a food bank from collecting, storing and delivering the food to the needy.
The activity was smooth and successful; this was a precious opportunity for students to organise the whole function from planning, promotion to implementation.
