「有別於一般的商業管理學課程，本課程獨特地加入了社會科學元素，讓我能夠學習到心理學和社會學，以及其他在中學時期甚少接觸的知識，突破了傳統的學科框架。另外，課程設計全面，除商業學及社會科學知識外，亦有通識科目，教授中英文及電腦知識，對升讀大學或投身社會工作極有幫助。商業學知識方面，課程涉及不同商業範疇，包括會計、經濟、市場學、財務學、管理學及人力資源管理等，提供多方面知識，可讓我了解自己的興趣，選擇最合適的出路。
傳統中學的學習模式，學生大多處於被動，可是在書院，學生的角色變得更為主動。撰寫論文、自行蒐集資料和分組專題研習等學習方式，可助我提早適應大學學習模式，打好穩固的基礎。」

It was a great and unforgettable experience for me to study at the College before I transferred to the Chinese University of Hong Kong. At the College, not only did I learn valuable academic knowledge during classes, but I also met a lot of trustworthy and kind friends. For my own personal development, I became more willing to socialise with my peers, think independently and to become more analytical – in turn this led me to become able to solve various difficulties with distinct proficiency.

School life at the College is different from that of traditional secondary schools. It not only offers a variety of activities for students, but also encourages students to seek advice from lecturers and student counsellors regarding their academic, personal and career development. What I have learned in the past two years, both academically and personally, would definitely prepare me for studying in university.

This programme has solidified my knowledge in medical science. After a year of study, I have become more confident in my capacity. Not only has the College given me the hope to further my studies in university, but also preparation for university life. 從修讀基礎課程、兩年副學士課程，到2009年9月入讀香港浸會大學通識及文化研究文學士二年級，Jane直言書院的多元化教學模式，使她更懂得思考，並於生活中靈活運用知識。「學習並不局限於教室，書院還提供了歷奇活動及各種工作坊等多元化學習機會，讓我學會了課本以外的知識。我亦曾被安排到保良局轄下的單位實習，參與各項社會服務工作，從工作中認識整個社會服務架構，學以致用，獲益良多。」
2007年，Jane獲院方頒發「劉陳小寶海外學術交流獎學金」，到英國倫敦交流。她表示：「英國之旅行程充實，能夠跟來自世界各地的學生一起研習英語，結識了很多不同國籍的新朋友，還有機會參觀英國不同的名勝古蹟以及世界聞名的劍橋大學。學習之餘，不忘體驗當地的生活。」為更深入了解英國地道文化，Jane特別要求入住寄宿家庭，體會到英國人生活節奏較慢，卻很會享受人生。對於有機會親身感受兩地文化的異同，Jane相信有關經驗對她在大學的學習大有幫助。
作為首屆畢業生的Jane已完成大學課程，現於怡邦客務資源管理有限公司任職高級主管，即使離開書院數年，她亦很照顧書院的師弟妹，近期更與書院合作，安排航空公司地勤人員的招聘活動，為畢業
生提供更多不同的出路。

"The past three years studying at HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Community College, I have learned to take great initiative in my studies. Not only did I learn valuable techniques within the accounting and financial industry, I also overcame my fear of speaking to large crowds during my presentations and projects. I was impressed with the professionalism and the experience of the lecturers at the College. Not only did they form great relationships with the students through their teaching methods, but they also shared their years of experience within the field, which was greatly appreciated by me and my classmates.
Apart from studying, I also actively participated in activities organised by the College such as study tours, all of which enhanced my knowledge in the accounting field.
Studying at the College is a platform for us to further our education and equip ourselves to develop our future careers."

"Studying at the College has changed me a lot. After experiencing failure in HKAL exam, I was very frustrated and chaotic, having little plan for the future. 課程內容設計完善，涵蓋通識教育的不同學科、社會科學的基礎知識及專業的心理學知識，打下穩固的學術基礎，升學時有更多選擇。書院與中學截然不同的學習模式及氣氛，令我明白到學習不一定是嚴肅和苦悶的。去年暑假，獲頒發學術交流獎學金，到了英國修讀英國牛津大學轄下的英語教師課程，體驗到很多新奇的事物，獲益良多。

The two years at the College is the most enjoyable and fruitful experience I have ever had! The programme in Nutrition and Food Management has provided me broad-based knowledge as well as in-depth understandings in topics related to heath and science, which serves as a good foundation for my university study. Apart from classroom learning, the College also arranged visits to food premises such as LSG Sky Chef and Lee Kum Kee factory, where I could apply the theories learned in lectures to real life. I also had a lot of fun joining various school activities such as O-Camp, Singing Contest and High Table Dinner in HKU.

I really cherish every moment at the College. The programme not only provided me with comprehensive knowledge and technical skills in the real estate profession, but also helped me to build up my confidence. The learning mode at the College is different from that in secondary school. Instead of being spoon-fed, we learn through discussions, role-play and site-visits, which make learning more lively and interesting. I also began to realise my academic and career goals. I believe that I can adapt to the university life quickly after two years of preparation at the College. Lastly, I am so glad that I have made a lot of friends here, who have given me a lot of encouragement.

This programme, along with my greatest efforts finally made my dreams come true – I was admitted to a local university even though I failed in the public examination. I have learnt plenty of knowledge from different lectures and it is extremely useful for my future study and my career as well. The lecturers are professional and helpful. This programme also provides a 6-month placement so that I can understand the industry better through real practical experiences.

Having studied the Higher Diploma for Legal Executives for two years, I would absolutely recommend students pick this programme. From those compulsory generic subjects, to core law subjects all of them have been very practically orientated. These course arrangements has allowed me to learn a wide range of different laws, but has also expose me to the practical use of law in the real world. To reiterate, I really enjoyed studying this programme and I do think that legal knowledge can benefit our whole lives, as law exists everywhere.
