My two years at HPSHCC have been both fruitful and rewarding. The programme offers a well-rounded curriculum that combines scientific foundations, in-depth field knowledge, and practical skills. In particular, the laboratory sessions and site visits were valuable learning experiences.
Beyond academics, I am especially grateful for the continuous support and guidance from our programme coordinator, lecturers, and counsellors throughout my university application process. Their encouragement and advice have played a crucial role in helping me progress to the next stage of my academic journey.
HPSHCC also fosters a friendly and supportive learning environment, enriched by a wide range of activities and opportunities that promote both academic and personal growth.

“Because we fall, the climb must be our destination.” When we look back at our past selves in the mirror, what shines the brightest are all our endeavors — the ebbs and flows that shape who we are today. Even in failure, there is much for us, as passionate students, to learn from and persevere through in our academic journey.
I never gave up on my academic journey after transitioning to the Higher Diploma in Medical and Health Products Management from HKDSE. Whether in academic pursuits or the development of practical skill sets, I broadened my horizons by acquiring a vast amount of knowledge, along with soft skills that support my practical capabilities. The curriculum of the programme is highly specialised, featuring biomedical subjects such as microbiology and pathophysiology, as well as pharmaceutical topics, including drug action and pharmaceutics. Moreover, I had ample opportunities to further hone my skills through an internship as well as practical laboratory work. Overall, the two-year programme was a very fruitful experience.
If time were a flower, then studying would be the nutrients that cultivate its growth. With time, it would bloom into an elegant plant, symbolising our blossoming future — reaching for the moon and weaving through the clouds.

The Higher Diploma in Medical and Health Products Management has been a truly transformative learning journey for me. One of my greatest takeaways has been understanding how different medical devices and medications can directly support patients’ recovery. Through this experience, I have come to realise that healthcare is not only about medicine, but also about how research and technology work together to improve people’s quality of life.
I am deeply grateful to my lecturers for their guidance and career advice throughout my studies. They encouraged me to look beyond the surface and explore the “why” behind the science, which sparked my genuine interest in the healthcare field. This experience has broadened my perspective on healthcare systems and given me the confidence to take on future challenges in the industry.

After completing the HKDSE, I knew my results were not strong enough for direct entry to university, but I remained determined to pursue a career in healthcare. That is why I chose the Higher Diploma in Medical and Health Products Management at HPSHCC. During my three years of study, I learnt subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmaceutics, and pathophysiology, all of which laid a solid foundation for my future studies.
Admittedly, the programme involved many tests and examinations. However, the lecturers were highly effective in explaining complex medical concepts in a simple and accessible way, which made the learning process much less daunting than I had expected.
In addition, summer internships and hospital visits gave me valuable exposure to different healthcare fields. Group projects also allowed me to build friendships and strengthen my teamwork skills, preparing me well for both university life and the workplace.
Thanks to this programme, I received a bachelor's degree offer from a university. I truly believe that the programme was a turning point in my academic journey. As I prepare to graduate, I am filled with wonderful memories and feel deeply grateful for all that I have gained at HPSHCC. I sincerely hope that every student will receive the offers they aspire to and leave HPSHCC with valuable knowledge, meaningful experiences, and a clear path ahead.

Alongside fundamental healthcare knowledge, I have gained various learning opportunities beyond classroom, such as developing practical pharmaceutical skills through laboratory activities, and gaining a deeper understanding of how healthcare services operate through seminars and overseas visits. For instance, I learned about China's healthcare system during an exchange programme with Shenzhen University, which broadened my perspective and inspired me to pursue a bright future.
Once again, I would like to extend my indebtedness to my lecturers. Guiding us from career prospects to university applications and interview preparation, their persistent tutelage and boundless belief in us will yield another generation of outstanding medical professionals. Their support has been instrumental in shaping my career path and preparing me for the challenges ahead. To prospective students, I wish you every success in building your future and encourage you to take full advantage of the opportunities this programme offers.
