The College focuses on students’ development which creates good study paths for students. Lecturers were helpful. I really appreciate the resources offered by this college. I would not be able to enrol in CUHK pharmacy without lecturers’ help.

The Higher Diploma in Medical and Health Products Management taught me a lot of medical knowledge, from medical and laboratory equipment, natural health products to anatomy. These helped me to build a solid foundation in my studies and prepared myself for career development. The lecturers were willing to help me in solving the problems in my studies. They taught me patiently and advised me on further studies and career. This programme also allowed me to join a summer internship at the Hong Kong Hospital Authority and to participate in a study tour to Taichung Chung Shan Medical University Hospital. I now have a better understanding about hospital operation, duties of a nurse and the daily works at the Department of Pharmacy and Clinical Laboratory. These experiences are invaluable to my future career.

In the past one year, I have learned much in area of medical science. I joined the College’s V-circle and its related voluntary services, which my communication and interpersonal skills have been greatly enhanced. During summer, I had an opportunity to work as a summer intern in the Pro-Cardio Heart Diseases and Stroke Prevention Centre. Moreover, I participated the study tour to Taiwan Chung Shan Medical University Hospital, to learn and study in the Department of Pharmacy and Clinical Laboratory. In the Department of Pharmacy, I observed the daily dispensing operations and learned how to educate the patients to take drugs properly, as well as to follow the drug administration thoroughly. All the invaluable experiences are useful for my university study and future career development.

As I did not obtain good results in the National College Entrance Examination, I chose a challenging path - to study in Hong Kong at HPSHCC. Facts have proved that I have made the right choice. At present, I have achieved my goal, which was an unattainable dream for me two years ago. Thanks to the lecturers of HPSHCC. They are always patient in solving problems of my studies. Also, I need to thank the counsellors of Student Development Resource Centre. They always concern about me, no matter my troubles in academic studies or daily life. Lastly, thank you to HPSHCC for giving me the opportunity and platform to pursue my dream!
