I am grateful to have spent these 2 years in the Higher Diploma progamme in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Remarkably, I can participate in various activities and acquire tourism-related knowledge and skills, which have enriched my school life and further motivated me to achieve my goal. For instance, I have an opportunity to visit a 5-star hotel in Hong Kong and undertake job placement in a brand-named hotel, which was a unique and valuable experience for me. Besides, the lecturers are helpful and willing to assist us when we needed them. All of the learning opportunities offered by the College have raised my zeal to work in the hospitality field in the future.

To me, the college life should be a person’s golden period that would allow him or her to interact with different people from different background. Although I had spent one and a half years studying online, I am glad that I had met amazing classmates and lecturers with memorable moments together. Lecturers at HPSHCC did not only teach us useful knowledge but also provided lots of sharing on the best path to our success in the future. Although our internship period was comparatively shorter than previous years due to COVID-19, it still allowed us to experience working in a professional high-end environment. In the end, I can say college life in HPSHCC is not easy but if you are willing to face challenges, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful life here. Work hard and dream big!

In the past two years, I learned practical skills in different subjects and I also met many friendly and helpful lecturers. Although we were adopting online teaching during the pandemic, the lecturers could also build a good learning environment. They enriched the lessons by using videos, discussions and Q & A sessions. The SDRC social media platform and the extra-curriculum activities were also awesome. They gave students useful information and facilitated the relationship between the College and the students. Many thanks to all lecturers who taught me in these two years. I will never forget the time we spent together in the College.

The Higher Diploma programme in Medical and Health Products Management has covered a broad spectrum of theoretical knowledge in medical and pharmacological sciences such as Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmaceutics, etc. which allowed me to adapt to the university. Although we are living in an arduous time in the pandemic, the professional lecturers nurtured us with unrivaled and witty lectures by sharing their own experiences. And I am grateful that the lecturers provided a variety of details and support about the future pathway. Thank you HPSHCC for helping me to enter the university.

After studying this programme, I have learned more about medical knowledge which is beneficial for my future study. Especially, courses such as Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmaceutics, and Drug Action & Use of Medicines had motivated my interest in studying. In addition, I wanted to thank all lecturers of this wonderful programme. They provided tutorial sessions to clarify and answer our questions in order to help us easily understand the lecture contents. Also, they were always willing to resolve my questions after class. Their support and assistance has been my motivation to study a challenging programme in the university.

Two years have passed in the blink of an eye. With the online learning being adopted, I barely met my classmates and lecturers face to face. However, the "new normal" did not affect our lecturers who had shown their dedication to teaching. Studying the Higher Diploma programme in Hotel Management at HPSHCC enabled me to pursue a career in the hospitality industry and to further my studies. I am thankful to my lecturers and classmates for all the support and hard work throughout these two years.

During the past two years, I have learned not only the fundamental medical and pharmacological sciences but also a lot about natural health products, medical diagnostic instruments, and so on. Besides, the College has provided us with sufficient resources, such as a Health Products Teaching Room and a Mock Clean Room, which supported me a lot in learning. The Student Development Resource Centre (SDRC) helped students who are experiencing difficulties or confusion in studies. I truly appreciate all the lecturers for their guidance and encouragement, and I have finally found my goals.

HPSHCC has provided me with different learning opportunities and activities such as internship and volunteer services. Also, the mole of studies at HPSHCC is comparable with the local university which enhances students to adapt in their future learning. Throughout two years of higher diploma, the programme curriculum covered fundamental knowledge of medical and pharmacological science, including anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology. It developed my analytical and communication skills during laboratory practices. The programme not only covered the professional knowledge in the medical field, but the lecturers also gave me treasurable advice during consultation. I appreciate the resources given by the college, and I am ready to begin my life in university.

My academic pursuit in medical and health products management at HPSHCC was complemented by my engagements as a placement trainee at Taichung Chung Shan Medical University Hospital (Taiwan). Both of the studies and activities have reinforced my interests and career goal in the medical field. Moreover, I am a class representative in my programme which acquires me a sense of responsibility, confidence and leadership skills.
These two years of study with a professional holistic knowledge and pharmacy practice are very important to me to be a medical laboratory technologist in my future and also to tackle with the challenges that I will encounter in my studies.

My DSE result was not satisfactory so I decided to find another way to articulate to university by choosing to study in this programme. Affected by the pandemic, most of the lessons were switched from face-to-face to online mode. However, I think this change of teaching mode did not affect my learning because teachers effectively upload the teaching recordings after classes for our easy reference. When we encounter any difficulties, we can contact our teachers through online chatbox and email. They usually reply in a timely manner. My dream was always to become a nurse. After the two years of study in Higher Diploma, I applied for university programmes through Non-Jupas channel. The College provided lots of support, including seminars and interview workshops, which helped me a lot in articulating to my desired university programme.
