To all of you who are still considering: If you have determined to join the health care industry, this is the right choice for you!

Life in HPSHCC is enjoyable. Apart from lectures, the College arranged various activities for students to broaden their horizons, such as the Student Ambassador Scheme, voluntary services, study tours etc. The 2-year associate degree programme is similar to the first two years of study at a university, which helped us to build a solid foundation of general knowledge and language proficiency. Although the College campus is not big, the bond between teaching staff and students is tight, resources are more concentrated. I enjoyed my study life at HPSHCC.

Time flies. I am glad to study at HPSHCC as there are various extra-curricular activities and excellent student services to help with our further studies. I have made lots of new friends and devleoped a sense of belonging here. Throughout the past 2 years, I learnt that making efforts is a significant key to success:“Work hard, play hard”. Although I sometimes felt stressed-up about my studies, I never felt alone at HPSHCC as I have friends standing by me. The College provided strong academic support while the teachers and counsellors from Student Development Resource Centre always guide me patiently.

I gained much knowledge on pharmacology, pathophysiology and so on, which paved the way for me to study the nursing programme in the university. And there are extracurricular activities such as site visits, allowing us to better understand what we have learned from the lectures.
HPSHCC provides lots of opportunities for us to enrich ourselves. When I was in Year 1, I participated in the college voluntary team. It helped me to improve my confidence and organization skills, and I realized the importance of empathy. Furthermore, there were plenty of resources on further studies. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have to attend the lectures online. When I encountered any problems, the lecturers were available to answer my questions with patience .
Thank you for the help from all the lecturers at HPSHCC, they always support and encourage me to pursue my goal.

I chose to study at HPSHCC as my path to enter university after receiving the result of HKDSE. The lecturers from Higher Diploma in Nutritional and Food Management are very helpful and kind. Moreover, counsellors from SDRC gave students practical advice when choosing our future pathway. They also provided a lot of information about different universities and gave us a lot of support.

I learnt about this higher diploma programme from a talk presented by the programme lecturer. The lecturer shared many successful stories of graduates who have articulated to their dream university programmes. In the past two years of studies, I learnt knowledge of medical and pharmacological sciences which helped me to catch up the fundamental healthcare courses in the university. Besides, lectures are student-oriented; I was given different opportunities in internship and voluntary work. We are not only equipped with theories, but also experiences related to healthcare field.

All roads lead to Rome. There are numerous ways to achieve oneself’s personal goals. If your goal is same as mine - entering the university, then studying at HPSHCC is definitely a good option. The teaching structures and modules of the programmes at HPSHCC not only provided students with theoretical knowledge, but also the opportunity to apply the knowledge in the assessments and presentations. Although the lecturers and counsellors are always willing to help, the key elements of success are self-discipline and the determination to improve. Plan first, work hard, and achieve it.
