College Life

'How can we do better without working extra miles in a second time?' This question has been my motto to propel myself to endure and work out the best of me in every learning opportunity. This is important to me because I always believe chances are only reserved for those who made additional preparation. The greater the ambition, the stronger the morale is. I just ask whenever something comes into questions and devote wholeheartedly when facing with challenges and tasks. Frankly, the lecturers and further studies guidance are indeed significant in my study.

The programme has greatly been designed for preparing students to work or further study. I learnt more about the hotel industry from the 6-month internship at the Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel. During the internship, I could practice the skills that learnt from lectures and understand more about the current situation of the industry.

I am very glad that I chose to study at the College after my public examination because I got a fruitful experience here. Studying at the College for 1 year, I found that the lecturers are all friendly and are willing to help students. Apart from the professional lecturers, the well-equipped environment also impressed me so much especially the nutrition laboratory, which is specially designed for students studying in Nutrition and Food Management program. With the help of the lecturers and facilities, I can learn both theoretical and practical knowledge in this program. In addition, I also met many new friends in the College and I consider this as the most valuable asset I got in this school.

Since my public examination results were not outstanding, I decided to study the Higher Diploma programme and hope that it is a chance for me to enter the university. My dream comes true! The programme includes a 6-month placement, which can strengthen my knowledge learnt during classes and let me understand the hotel operation.

Thanks to the College, for giving me an opportunity to continue my study. In these years, what I have gained is greater than I expected. In my view, being passionate about learning is much important than pursuing the academic results. Exploring the treasure house of knowledge with your efforts; interacting with others with sincerity even under the fierce competition, and enjoying the teachings of the lecturers, you will find out the true value of study, which is not a matter of grading, but enjoyment. Thanks to all lecturers who taught wholeheartedly as well as the classmates who made my day.

2-years college life in the College was really unforgettable and impressive. Fantastic lecturers, student counsellors and friends I met here made my life more colorful. Higher Diploma in Nutrition and Food Management does not only focus on the theories, but also provides a lot of practices for us to apply the knowledge and these made the course practical. The College provides many resources to their students that they can be academically successful. Many activities and study tours were also provided for us to join. Student counsellors put great efforts to help us to step into universities and pursue for our dreams. The College is a good choice for students who want to have further study in university.

I gained professional legal knowledge of different legal disciplines which turned into a strong knowledge foundation for my further study. Moreover, my critical thinking skills and also presentation skills were very much strengthened. My college life was especially memorable, as I met many good friends, with whom I would have a life-long friendship.

I am grateful for my time studying in the Higher Diploma for Legal Executives programme, which provided me with a solid academic foundation to pursue my tertiary legal studies. Excellent materials were provided by the College and subjects were attentively taught by professional lecturers. These made my studies easier and much efficient than expected. Further, lecturers are readily available whenever I wished to ask questions or, when I have doubts during revision. The general learning atmosphere was healthy and positive such that students collectively formed their study groups and I made many friends. There were plenty of reading and writing opportunities, such as legal writing classes that boosted my English proficiency. To sum up my experience I am delighted with my time here and it is really a wonderful post-secondary programme.

Throughout the two years of Higher Diploma programme, I had been working so hard to pursue my dreams, and now I can enjoy my fruits of labor happily. Although some people may not want to spend two more years for a seat in universities, I am glad that I made up my mind to have further study at the College, because, besides studying, I met a lot of good friends and lecturers there. Without their support and assistance, I would not have been able to succeed at all. We should grasp all the opportunities and trust ourselves in order to reach our goals. Then, the path in front of us will only lead to one final destination: success.

Thanks to the efforts of all dedicated lecturers, I had an unforgettable learning experience in the College. This programme provides students with the rudimentary knowledge of medicines and technical equipment in hospitals. Moreover, it offers students practical trainings in laboratory and summer interns to broaden our horizons. The College had truly led me to countless golden opportunities, paving the way for my future career in health care aspect.

I would say the College provides all students a second chance. In here, if you have strong determination and commitment to get into university, you will succeed with the help from the College. Since many lecturers here are professional and helpful, they are always willing to offer help when we encounter any difficulties. The well-equipped facilities in campus also aid my study. I particularly like the comfortable library and it assists me concentrates on my revision even for a long time during the examination period.
