For me, studying the Higher Diploma in Surveying and Property Management was a great challenge and required strong determination. As a mature student, I chose to return to campus after working for a while, so I had to balance factors such as family, academic performance and financial burden. Fortunately, with the support of my family, I have been able to persevere until now.
The programme content deepened my understanding of the surveying industry. What impressed me most was the application of land law, which helped me understand the uses of different types of land, as well as the key considerations when buying and selling properties. It was truly eye-opening. I am also very grateful for the guidance and support from all the lecturers. They often used a wide range of academic references to explain the course content, which benefited me immensely.
In addition, I would like to thank the counsellors at the College’s Student Development Resources Centre (SDRC). Through their counselling services and wellness activities, they showed genuine care for us and greatly relieved the academic pressure I had accumulated over time.
Lastly, I would like to encourage my fellow schoolmates: learning is a lifelong journey. Even if you did not achieve your desired results in the HKDSE, or if you are returning to campus after working like me, your efforts will eventually pay off as long as you are willing to work hard. Mindset determines everything.

I once believed that pursuing an Associate Degree would be a lifelong stigma, so I came to HPSHCC feeling uncertain and ashamed. Fortunately, my journey here helped me rebuild my confidence.

The Higher Diploma in Medical and Health Products Management has been a truly transformative learning journey for me. One of my greatest takeaways has been understanding how different medical devices and medications can directly support patients’ recovery. Through this experience, I have come to realise that healthcare is not only about medicine, but also about how research and technology work together to improve people’s quality of life.
I am deeply grateful to my lecturers for their guidance and career advice throughout my studies. They encouraged me to look beyond the surface and explore the “why” behind the science, which sparked my genuine interest in the healthcare field. This experience has broadened my perspective on healthcare systems and given me the confidence to take on future challenges in the industry.

The Higher Diploma in Applied Intelligent Technologies not only helped me build a solid foundation in programming and networking, but more importantly, it allowed me to truly understand the value of hands-on experience. My lecturers encouraged me to participate in programming competitions, and the experience of writing code, developing websites, and presenting solutions became a key factor in securing my admission to university.
I am grateful to my lecturers for their patience and guidance, as well as to my classmates who worked alongside me on our project. I would also like to thank the College for providing a wide range of activities and resources.
My advice to new students is to actively participate in different activities, join competitions, and work on projects whenever possible, because applying theory in practice is the most effective way to learn.
