Arriving at HPSHCC with a touch of apprehension, I was quickly embraced by a supportive community of peers and teachers who encouraged me to find my voice – not just in the classroom but also as a student ambassador. Their guidance has helped me blossom into a more mature student, communicator, and leader.

Dear fellow students, our unwavering commitment to truth, accuracy, and impactful storytelling will pave the way for remarkable achievements. Let us pursue our stories with passion, question everything, and always keep our notebooks at the ready – for the headlines of our careers are yet to be written. May we each shine brightly in our chosen fields, illuminating the path ahead with our dedication and enthusiasm.

Diligence requires continuous accumulation - every seemingly insignificant step you take will reveal the significance of persistence in one day.

From a state of bewilderment to one of gratitude, two years of associate degree studies flowing by a blink of eye were imbued with reluctance to leave. HPSHCC has provided diverse opportunities to enrich my learning experience. I am profoundly grateful for the persuasive guidance and support provided by the lecturers and the Student Development Resource Centre counsellors, which instilled in me confidence and encouragement to pursue further studies at CUHK. The two years spent at HPSHCC have become my most cherished recollections and will establish a robust foundation for my future university endeavours.

After completing the 2021 DSE, I studied an associate degree for one year. However, I later realised that it wasn't a good fit for me, so I transferred to the Higher Diploma in Health and Social Care programme. Now, as I'm about to graduate, I am very grateful to everyone who has helped me along the way, including my classmates, the lecturers, and the staff from the Student Development Resource Centre. They  all played a significant role in making my two years at HPSHCC an enriching and rewarding experience.

Lastly, I would like to share a message with everyone here: Even if you don't get the required scores to enter university, don't be discouraged. Find your own goals and methods, and with hard work and dedication, you can definitely achieve your dreams. Stay hungry, stay foolish!

Knowledge and effort won’t betray you.

"Big journeys begin with small steps." During the past two years, I have found a lot of inspiration that has reinforced my passion and motivated me to pursue further studies at HPSHCC. The College provided experienced lecturers and a variety of resources, which have helped me work towards my goals and continue to pursue my dream at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Besides immersing myself in the new learning atmosphere, stepping out of my comfort zone is crucial. I have participated in the Student Ambassador scheme, which has greatly improved my leadership and communication skills, giving me great confidence. More exposure to various activities and experiences provided me with better insight and personal development. Additionally, I have expanded my social circle and made many supportive friends with similar interests.

Without impressive academic results or exceptional talents, I entered the College full of uncertainties and anxiety. I was thankful to the College for offering quality teaching resources, support and opportunities. Through my journey, I not only acquired knowledge and skills, but also discovered different aspects of myself, made friends who are inspiring and supportive, built confidence, solidified my goals, and broadened my horizons. Undoubtedly, the two-year study in the College have been an unforgettable and precious journey of growth in my life. It has laid a solid foundation for my future path. Although I took some detours, I have witnessed more beautiful scenery along the way!

To my fellow DSE graduates and Year 1 classmates, you are in a challenging phase of life, and the stress should not be underestimated. However, please don’t forget to take good care of your mind and body to go further in the long run. "When an egg breaks from outside, it is under pressure; when it breaks from inside, it is growth." Life is a journey full of possibilities, and I firmly believe that if you are willing to work hard and persevere, one day you will achieve your goals and fulfil your dreams. May you all attain more achievements and find joy in your future learning and life endeavours. Keep up the good work!

Thanks HPSHCC for providing me with a great learning environment in the past two years. Throughout my two years of study, I have gained valuable laboratory experience and knowledge in experiments from our passionate lecturers. Their patience also deepened my understanding of food safety which can well equip me for my further studies.

It is the right decision to study at HPSHCC in these two years because the College provides a good environment for us to focus on our studies. Also, the academic support from the lecturers and staff helps us understand more about our future career paths or further studies. The College is also equipped with the latest equipment for us to conduct experiments related to food and nutrition. I really enjoyed my time at HPSHCC.

The programme curriculum focuses on application. We learn how to apply theory to practical situations through in-class exercises. The lecturers at the College are very attentive. They are very willing to answer our questions and provide their professional insights to increase students' learning interest. The skills I learned here can also be applied in my studies at the university. Finally, I hope that students who are interested in taking this programme will seize the opportunity. Apart from seeking advice from lecturers, you can also participate in some technological activities and exhibitions to broaden your horizons.

The Higher Diploma in Medical and Health Products Management not only solidified my understanding in health sciences, but also provided me with in-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations and the work of various healthcare professionals, particularly pharmacists, through the learning of pharmaceutical skills. The College also provided support in various aspects, such as academics and psychology. Over the past two years, I have benefited greatly from this course. I am very grateful for the support of all the lecturers, who has helped me clarify my direction and successfully progress to my favourite Bachelor Degree Programme.
