The two-year learning journey at HPSHCC has enriched me with numerous opportunities and achievements. As a psychology student, the courses provided me with a deeper understanding of professional knowledge and the ability to connect knowledge with practice. Taking the meaningful step of becoming a student ambassador has contributed to even more unforgettable moments of public speaking and event management.
I want to express my sincerest thanks to all my lecturers and Student Development Resource Centre counsellors. Their warm support was also one of the most crucial parts of my memorable College life.

Sometimes failure is a blessing in disguise.
My failure in the public examination drove me to enroll in this College. Over the past two years, I was grateful to have met patient lecturers and caring schoolmates. They gave me a wealth of new knowledge in psychology and made my learning journey less lonely. The most beautiful scenery of this College was not the tall buildings outside the windows, but the passionate teachers and the determined schoolmates. If it weren't for my past failure, I wouldn't have had the fortune of meeting them.
Here is a message for you who may be experiencing setbacks: “Though it is too late to change the past, there is still time to shape the day to come." Regardless of the past, as long as you have the will, you can catch up with everything.

My time at HPSHCC has been a fantastic journey full of meaningful and interesting experiences. I was quick to grow a sense of belonging shortly after starting my studies on campus along with making new friends. Although there were some bumps, the College provided a lot of resources for students to overcome any difficulties they face with their emotions or studies. Apart from this, the Psychology programme equipped students with sufficient and relevant knowledge that only assisted them in their academics, but also in their lives. I am forever grateful that HPSHCC has given me a second chance to pursue my dreams to study in university and the opportunity to connect and meet new people.

Life in HPSHCC is enjoyable. Apart from lectures, the College arranged various activities for students to broaden their horizons, such as the Student Ambassador Scheme, voluntary services, study tours etc. The 2-year associate degree programme is similar to the first two years of study at a university, which helped us to build a solid foundation of general knowledge and language proficiency. Although the College campus is not big, the bond between teaching staff and students is tight, resources are more concentrated. I enjoyed my study life at HPSHCC.

Due to my immaturity and inability to stand boredom, I had made a huge mistake of dropping out of school, and joined the work force. After having a taste of the harsh reality, I learned the importance of obtaining knowledge and qualifications, and hence decided to go back to school.
It was not easy in the beginning. I am grateful that HPSHCC gave me a second chance. Throughout my study here, I have enhanced my English proficiency and gained much knowledge on Psychology, and I have also participated in different extracurricular activities. My college life was fruitful which allowed me to be better in academics as well as my personal life.

There are different paths to enter the universities. Do not lose your confidence because of unsatisfactory DSE results.
Take me as an example. I decided to study at HPSHCC, an alternative path to get my university degree. During the past two years of studying the associate degree programme, I had more time to strengthen my foundation, including language skills, which facilitated my articulation to university.
The college life of a sub-degree student is similar to that of a university fellow. You can also find a group of good friends whom you can relay on and fight together towards the same goal, work hard together to fulfill your dream. Believe in yourself! You can make it!

I felt immense gratitude to HPSHCC for giving me a chance of studying at this college. In the past year, the College provided me with comprehensive facilities and various experience of learning which assisted me in consolidating my academic foundation and preparing for the future challenge at the University.
More importantly, I am also grateful that my lecturers are always helpful whenever I have difficulties in my studies. Besides, I am fortunate to meet my study partners with whom we strived to pursue our academic goals.

Studying at HPSHCC for the past two years has been a significant milestone in my life as I am strengthened holistically.
The programme has provided me a solid foundation in psychology and academic research. Besides, the learning atmosphere at HPSHCC is positive. If you are able to find friends who share similar goals as in achieving good results, you would be more motivated and discover that time passes real quick.
I was also exposed to different learning opportunities from extracurricular activities such as participating in the college volunteering team for ex-mentally impaired people. I have learned more about their needs mentally, which allowed me to investigate in those areas further.
