College Life

The two years spent in the College will definitely be part of the most profound memory in my lifetime. What the course provided is more than I expected before my enrollment. Here I was well-nourished with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills on dealing with nutrition information including designing recipes to cater for different needs, dietary assessment, laboratory experiments etc. Apart from my academic perspective, the interpersonal part I experienced at the College was memorable, where I had received very kind help from lecturers and staff from Student Development Resources Centre when I needed. The friendship built here was so strong enough that I could have faith to face the obstacles I had been encountering on the road of getting into the University of Hong Kong.

In the past two-year in the College, I had a great time learning with my schoolmates and met a lot of new friends. I learnt a lot of information of medical and health care from the teachers which cannot be found from books. Through their support and encouragement, I understand the different disciplines of knowledge, and know how to equip myself joining the medical field. In terms of activities, the school offers a variety of activities to help broaden my vision and interpersonal networks, such as volunteer services and the exchange tour. For me, the college is like my mentor, who orients me to the right direction.

For the Real Estate Management Program, it mainly covers two professional aspects: Surveying and Property Management. After studying this program for two years, I have a clear picture on my future career path. Through participating in the internship and site visit organized by the lecturers,I understand more about the nature of jobs. Apart from knowledge, Student Development Resources Centre holds various workshops, counseling sessions and activities for us to join which make my school life become fruitful. I have made many new friends too! I really have a lot precious memories here.

Studying at the College helped me to learn the relevant professional knowledge; and supported me to get into university. Different methods were adopted, such as debate and projects, to train our thinking and application. In addition, the lecturers are supportive and willing to teach students and answer questions. Besides, the counsellors provided many useful advices coupled with the adequate resources, which helped the students to find their own future and further studies.

Spending two years in the College is a great experience that you can plan your future. I learnt a lot about medical products, especially drugs that are commonly used. Apart from knowledge learnt from lectures, the college also provides us opportunities to know the actual medical industry, such as visits of pharmacy. I believed that the experience in the College would definitely help me a lot in my future study and career.

Thanks to the innovative programme blending psychology in business management, from which I did not only acquire a lot from studying these related fields in various angles, but also conduced to my better understanding of own strengths and interest, which are useful to my future. Interestingly, the busy workloads and tight schedule each semester conversely contributed me to be further well-organised and determined to overcome different kinds of trouble. All the guidance and support from dedicated lecturers, like-minded classmaates, as well as zealous counsellors of the College were part and parcel to my advancement.

Studying at this College was definitely one of my memorable experiences. Through the lectures and projects, I have learnt different academic professional knowledge and cooperation and collaboration skills through various projects and case studies. This is beyond the question that what I have gained exceeds what I expected in the first place. Besides, the College has been serving as a great platform for students to look for further studies that the support and advice from the lecturers and counsellors have helped me to fulfill my ultimate goal all along the way. I am really glad to see my effort did pay off now.

Having been a student in the College in the past 2 years, learning is no longer boring.   With a large variety of subjects offered, I can study what I am interested in.  With the aid of quality lecturers, I have acquired relevant professional knowledge and skill in sport and recreation industry.  The learning process is very similar that of universities which helps us to adapt to the learning atmosphere in the university after graduation.  Also, teachers here give spectacular insights to students which are fruitful to our future career.  Other than learning, the college offers Internship for us to prepare ourselves to work in particular industry.  Thank you the College for giving me well-rounded learning experiences in these past two years.

The Higher Diploma in Sport and Recreation Management is the best choice if you would like to enter the sports industry. All the lectures, practices and employment-related activities are taught or guided by professional lecturers and coaches. They also provide career guidance to students based on their individual abilities. The real-life cases shared by our experienced teachers have broadened my perspective and enhanced my competitiveness in this field.

Studying at the College is a right choice because it gave me second chance to get into university. The lecturers here are friendly and passionate in answering students’ questions. Different aspects of the sport knowledge made us have all-round based knowledge. Besides, the College also provided the opportunity for us to acquire practical work experience via placement, in which allowed me to apply my acquired theories and knowledge.
