College Life

I felt immense gratitude to HPSHCC for giving me a chance of studying at this college. In the past year, the College provided me with comprehensive facilities and various experience of learning which assisted me in consolidating my academic foundation and preparing for the future challenge at the University.

More importantly, I am also grateful that my lecturers are always helpful whenever I have difficulties in my studies. Besides, I am fortunate to meet my study partners with whom we strived to pursue our academic goals. 

The 2-year programme allowed me to learn a variety of knowledge and receive training regarding the hospitality and tourism industry. In order to broaden our horizons, the College has arranged a 6-month job placement for students. I was given an opportunity to work at InterContinental Hong Kong, and my position was Guest Services Officer in the Front Office Department. I was able to communicate with tourists from different countries and to experience the daily operation at a Forbes 5-Star Hotel.

In the past 2 years, the College has given me academic support and unforgettable memories. Lecturers are willing to answer my questions and Student Development Resource Centre (SDRC) has helped me a lot on the preparation of my university interviews. Also, I have valuable experience as a Student Ambassador and from the Taiwan Agriculture Study Tour. I am glad that I have studied at HPSHCC, have equipped well  for my future studies and career.

Time flies! It has been my last year in HPSHCC. In the past two years, I gained lots of valuable experience in HPSHCC. I joined the UK Business Tour and became a Student Ambassador. These activities helped me to become a mature and confident person. Also, thanks to the lecturers and counsellors of Student Development Resource Centre (SDRC), they are very kind, patient and friendly. They helped me a lot and solved my difficulties in academic issues and the concerns about my future study.

Studying in HPSHCC is an unforgettable experience to me. The College provides quality teaching environment. Lecturers are very kind and friendly. Also, counsellors of Student Development Resource Centre are willing to help us on issues regarding further studies. I am so grateful to have their full support.

You may think that it is frustrating to study for a sub-degree programme. However, if you try your best during the college years, entering into a local university is not just a dream!

Believe in yourself, and work hard!

My one-year college life at HPSHCC passed so quickly. Although face-to-face teaching was interrupted by COVID-19, the lecturers adopted various methods and online channels to teach us which made learning more effective. The first year of AD courses broadended my horizon and prepared me well for my studies in the university.

The programme taught us a lot about nutrition and I could apply the knowledge into daily life. The College Lecturers are experienced and teaching materials were well-prepared, which helped us to learn effectively. The programme also provides overseas study tours for students to broaden their horizons.

Having the chance to study food and nutrition management in HPSHCC during these 2 years was fruitful and challenging, as I am really interested in this area.  I am grateful to have met good teachers here, who taught me useful knowledge of nutrition. Through joining study tours, site visits to local food manufacturers and voluntary services, I could learn more about the industrial practices other than knowledge from books, which gave me a clearer goal towards my future.  In these 2 years, I experienced that determination and hard work are the foundation of success, you can also pursue your dreams.
