Despite the COVID-19 disruption, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at HPSHCC and firmly believe that the College has prepared me to excel in University. Owing to the uncertainty over the pandemic development in the past two years, my peers and I had faced challenges returning to school during our study. While I was worried about my academic learning progress during the face-to-face class suspension, the College flexibly deployed various teaching modes to sustain students' learning at home. I was able to interact remotely with my peers and consult our lecturers on multiple e-learning platforms throughout my study. The College has also organised various online seminars and workshops to facilitate our career and academic planning. I would like to thank all the academic staffs for their support and thoughtfulness. Together we have overcome the challenge and made it through the hard times.

After I graduated from the secondary school, I chose this higher diploma programme as it provides a comprehensive curriculum on food science. With the help of the lecturers, I gained a solid foundation on food science, such as the relationship between nutrition and our body as well as the microbiology of food. HPSHCC also organised company visits for students to gain a wider exposure. In short, HPSHCC offered a good learning environment for us to reach our dreams.

My HKDSE result was not good enough for me to enter my desired university. I did not give up, and I decided to enrich myself and study the HD programme in Nutrition and Food Management in HPSHCC. The lecturers are professional and kind; they taught us patiently and allowed us to explore our interest about nutritional science and food safety. During these two years of study, I have worked my best to acquire new knowledge and achieve desirable results.

Two years ago, I did not get good results in HKDSE exam, and could not enter into the university. I, therefore, decided to study the Higher Diploma programme in Nutrition and Food Management at HPSHCC. Besides, the Student Development Resource Centre (SDRC) provided sufficient information and support on further studies, especially when I had to prepare for the university interviews. Furthermore, study tours held by the College helped me to understand more about food production of different countries, which is beneficial to my future learning.
