It is incredible that I can be given an opportunity to share my experience here. This programme provides basic knowledge of health science which helps me prepare for the healthcare industry and develop my future career. In the last two years, I have taken part in the Summer Student Attachment Programme organised by Hospital Authority and the Taichung Chungshan Medical University internship training programme. These are valuable opportunites for me to accumulate out-of-classroom experience.

Time flies and it has already been another two years. The HD is very comprehensive, covering a wide range of hotel industry knowledge, which laid a good foundation for my further studies and future career. In addition, the six months hotel internship helped me to learn guest service skills and cultivate a positive attitude to deal with work-related difficulties. Teachers were enthusiastic in teaching and willing to share their work experience in the hotels which was very useful to us. Finally, I was very grateful to teachers and counselors for their support and encouragement.

I'm glad that I have chosen to have studied Higher Diploma in Nutrition and Food Management and had a fruitful College life. Besides of teaching nutrition knowledge, there were different types of activities in this programme , such as cooking classes , visit of food processing factories and the exchange programme . In the past two years, I have gained not only nutritional knowledge but also many memorable experiences. On the other hand, lecturers are kind, patient and encouraging . Student Development Resource Center also provides various activities such as seminars and individual counseling studies that have lessened my anxiety on study prospect. Finally, I am grateful to the College of providing an opportunity for me to pursue my university dream.

While enrolling the foundation programme as a mature student, I did not have much expectation toward myself, even doubt that could I finish the curriculum.
