It has always been my dream to work in the hospitality industry and thankfully the College provides lot of opportunities for me to learn, enhance and prove myself. Besides, this programme offers an internship for every student and it’s my privilege to work at the front office department in InterContinental Hong Kong. This once-in-a-life-time opportunity not only broadened my horizons, but also enhanced both knowledge and skills for my future career. I believe wrong choices might bring us to the right places. This is why sometimes we have to loose ourselves in order to find ourselves. It is never too late to persue our dreams.

Life at the College is full of laughs and tears. When I first entered the College, I was frustrated and nervous because I did not know anyone. Besides, I was disappointed that I could not get into a University. For this reason, I promised myself and parents that I needed to work hard for University admission. I did not regret studying at the College because I am glad that I have met a group of good friends. Also, it was a great opportunity for me to join different activities such as Taiwan Study Tour and Leadership Training Camp. I have understood myself better and become more mature now.

“I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to all the lecturers at HPSHCC who have devoted themselves wholeheartedly in teaching. The carefully structured YSS programme helps students to fully utilize the two years of study. The programme also provides a comprehensive training for students who plan to enter the workforce after graduation. For instance, the practicum supervised by experienced social workers has offered opportunities for students to learn in real world situations.
I am so fortunate to have the chance to join the study tour to South Korea. The trip offered us valuable opportunity to visit different social facilities including an orphanage and a school for the mentally handicapped. I also wanted to give my heartfelt appreciation to the Programme Manager who had given me amble support to prepare for a postgraduate programme interview. I am accepted by the Master’s programme of Social Work (MSW) and will study at HKU after receiving my Bachelor’s degree this year. Learning is always put into practice at the College. Apart from the traditional learning sessions, we enjoyed various practical and training classes in the medical and health products laboratory. We also learned about the art of managing health products and wellness businesses in a large enterprise through summer placement. Since the College is highly recognised by the local universities, my qualification is successfully articulated to the HKU Bachelor of Nursing degree programme, which gears myself further to the career in health care related industries.
